15 years ago I did the artwork for this graphic novel about post-war Italian jazz music, written by the writer, musician and jazz lover Andrea Campanella. It was a decent success and it even won me a “best-artwork” award (plus, the comic itself won an award as well).
A lot has happened since then, and I grew a lot as an artist in the meantime. If I was to go back I’d definitely take different decisions, but that was 2010.
Next week, thanks also to Elizabeth_Busani, this book will come out as a revised, updated and hopefully improved version in Italy (published again by Tunué).
